Louisa Mauzé, originally from St. Louis Missouri, is currently located in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. She is a junior at Texas Christian University pursing her BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in General Business Administration. At TCU, Louisa , is on the Dean’s List and is a TCU Scholar. She is the recipient of various academic scholarships including the TCU Founders Scholarship, TCU Activities Grant and the TCU Mary Hawn Theatre Scholarship. She is also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Alpha Psi Omega Theatre fraternity.
After graduation in May 2019, Louisa plans on moving to New York City to pursue a career in the performing arts.
At TCU, Louisa has performed in Main Stage shows Bat Boy and Pippin, staged readings of Songs from Sideshow and Pullman Car Hiawatha and multiple benefit concerts with Alpha Psi Omega. She is also a member of the Kappa Pickers, a traditional Kappa singing group. Her professional theatre experience includes three seasons with the Variety Children’s Theatre and the opening number in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Recently, Louisa participated as a Company Management and Marketing Intern with Theatre Casa Mañana in Fort Worth, TX where she learned some of the business aspects of theatre including coordinating and conducting auditions, creating and managing social media content and working with equity regulations.
Offstage, Louisa is a competitive runner and most recently placed 2nd in her age group in the Fort Worth Half-Marathon with a PR time of 1:43:18. She also regularly practices yoga and hopes to receive her yoga teaching certification in the future.
